Navy Week Information

The United States Navy will bring Lexington Navy Week to the heart of the Bluegrass Region April 7-12, 2026, offering residents a unique opportunity to meet Sailors, experience naval traditions, and gain a deeper understanding of the Navy’s role in national defense and global security.

As the nation celebrates its 250th anniversary in 2026, Navy Weeks will embark on a celebratory “Road Trip to 250.” Navy Weeks will serve as symbolic “pit stops” across the country, highlighting the Navy’s rich history and its enduring commitment to defending freedom and supporting communities.

Navy Week connects communities without a large naval presence to the men and women who serve. Throughout the week, Sailors will participate in a wide range of events across Lexington, including Keeneland Spring Meet, community service projects, athletic engagements, and live performances.

Highlights of the week will include:

  • Keeneland Spring Meet
  • Thursday Night Live
  • Navy Day at Kentucky Horse Park
  • Keeneland’s Sunrise Trackside
  • American Rodeo Eastern Regional

Navy Week also provides a platform for Lexington residents to learn more about career opportunities in the Navy, including paths in STEM, law, cybersecurity, music, and special operations.
