Navy Week Information

The U.S. Navy proudly announces Navy Week in the Hawaiian Islands, Mar. 9-15, 2026. As part of a nationwide outreach effort, Hawaii Navy Week will bring a naval warship and its Sailors to engage directly with the communities of Honolulu and Hilo through a week-long series of performances, educational events and service projects.

As the Nation celebrates its 250th anniversary in 2026, Navy Weeks will embark on a celebratory "Road Trip to 250." Navy Weeks will serve as symbolic "pit stops" across the country, highlighting the Navy’s rich history and its enduring commitment to defending freedom and supporting communities

Hawaii is home to the U.S. Pacific Fleet, one of the largest and most powerful in the world, based at Pearl Harbor. Beyond its military mission of maintaining peace and stability across the Pacific, the Navy has long engaged in community outreach, working closely with residents, schools, and local organizations through events, service projects, and initiatives to strengthen ties with the people of Hawaii.

The 2026 event will build on these existing relationships, showcasing a lineup of performances, demonstrations, and community engagements from the following:

  • Naval History and Heritage Command: Discover Hawaii's rich connection to the Navy through interactive exhibits and educational programs.
  • U.S. Pacific Fleet Band: Enjoy live performances and masterclasses from talented Navy musicians.
  • Ship Tours: Explore a U.S. Navy warship firsthand.
  • Namesake Sailors: Meet the men and women serving aboard Hawaii’s four “namesake” vessels: USS Hawaii (SSN 776), USS Pearl Harbor (LSD 52), USS Daniel Inouye (DDG 118), and USS Chung Hoon (DDG 93).
  • Sailors across the Fleet: Connect with many more Sailors, including “hometown heroes” returning to serve their community, including Rear Adm. Ryan Mahelona, a Kaneohe native and Kamehameha Schools graduate.
